I am Ishaan and I opened my eyes to this world on the 15th of November, 2011. I was initially due on 22nd November and everyone secretly hoped that that gets pushed by another day so I could share my birthday with Sai Baba…but that was not to be. However, now, I do share my birth-star with Baba. It’s Thiruvadarai and I share this with my dad too. So, mom now has to put up with two similar “stars” in the same house…and is she excited about this? You know the answer…JAlready, mom keeps saying that dad is just like her mom as they belong to the same zodiac sign, Libra. To make things worse, I belong to the same zodiac sign as her dad, Scorpio…is she excited about this at least? You know the answer to this too JNandu aunty has warned her that it needs lots of patience to handle Scorpios…and mom is a bit worried about that, because, of late…she has become a “little” impatient…is that an exaggeration, dad?

The day I was born :)
Ok…let me cut things short. I don’t remember much about my very earlier days, except that lots of people came to visit me the day I was born. I was too new to understand that they were my relatives or even they were people. I was in my own world where I was not taught about people yet. I just knew my mom, by her touch. A touch so soft and  possessive. I loved that. It was difficult from the beginning. I was not easy to conceive and once I came into being, mom would just not let go…Days after I was born, I was christened Ishaan Sai. Mom chose my name and it means, ‘supreme ruler’, also another name for Lord Vishnu. Dad agreed with her choice as does most of the times.J For my christening too, the house was filled with people. Now too, I didn’t understand anything or know anyone, except my mom. All I did was to drink milk and sleep peacefully. Mom kept me with her most of the times…thanks mom!

And then I came to my Nani’s home in Kolkata. I took my first flight on 14th December, 2011. Was I excited? I didn’t know what that meant, except that I kept sleeping most of the time and mom was very relieved. She thanked me for cooperating and very proudly told everyone that her son never troubles his mom! Let’s wait and watch J
