Haven’t
been writing for so long, but lots of things have happened in between. Now…I
can crawl…yahooooooooooo. But getting to where I am now was not easy. I first
did the froggie jump for several weeks. It was not crawling, but it helped me
move around, albeit by jumping. Everyone around made fun of me…they thought I
am not going to crawl at all. I kept quiet all the while and practiced. I tried
to sit slowly in between. Then, I started standing…boy, I love d it and still
do. And gradually, I started crawling, slowly, steadily by the week starting 28
May. Now, I am practicing each day to better it. Mom started solid food for me
on 27 April. That was the day when we had the official Annaprasan. We had it at home…and tha-tha, patti and mom fed me with
the first morsels of solid food—paal payasam and honey. It was weird at first,
but I must admit, tasty…yummy. The following weeks saw more solid food being
introduced—Idli, potato mash, daal ka paani, daab water and cerelac. Mom was
experimenting with my taste buds. On the evening of 27 April, my Periamma
arrived with Anika akka and Periappa. It was a month full of fun, but mom kept
getting jittery. Anika was still a little girl and loved me. All she wanted to
do was to have me on her lap and every time she would try to do that or even
get closer to me, you should’ve seen mom…she would PANIC. It was funny to see
that…poor mom J I must admit that I have been scared sometimes too, but Anika
was the only little one I could play with. She would take me around in the
pram, sing for me, have babytalk with me…it was fun. Dad was supposed to visit
us too…but fell ill and so could not come L I have forgotten his
face now! But mom says we will move to Chennai soon and she doesn’t sound happy
when she says that. Until then, I have the whole house here to practice
crawling…wow!!!
